The Late Post

Hello reader!

So this post is a little late. I'm sorry for that. But here's why...

As usual, last week didn't have the most extraordinary start. Mondays to Thursdays are always a little dull, if I'm honest. Of course the rest of the week didn't meet the low standard and example set by it's predecessors from the earlier 4 days. Friday was nothing short of epic! I had booked for my mum and  I to go for a 'chocoholics afternoon tea' at the Hilton for Christmas, and boy, was it good! And plus, it gave us the perfect excuse to spend the day up in LDN.

You have no idea how good this all tasted.

Having to dress up as the girl I am, I did feel a little uncomfortable. Skirts/skirt-like shorts just aren't my thing, but I was soon at ease surrounded but numerous dinosaur species at the Natural History Museum. I don't really know if it is cool and quirky or really weird that I have a slight fascination/borderline obsession with dinosaurs, specifically t-rex's (it's because of the unnaturally and down-right cruel short arms-they can't even reach their own mouths!), but I'm gonna run with it! I also got the chance to see Vincent Van Gough's sunflowers while in town. There was a short queue to access them, and totally worth it. So, if two museums and a posh tea and cake session weren't enough, I'm pleased to tell you I've only just begun...

Saturday was most certainly the busiest day of the weekend. Finishing my shift at 12, a whole 3 hours before I should have, I knew I had a busy day ahead of me. I went to the BBC Centre (not one to want to jinx it, I won't write what for on here) and got to see the newsroom, which is literally amazing!

From the event that took place, I met up with my dad, with whom I then trekked to the Hard Rock Cafe. Unfortunately there were no tables available for ages, so we meandered over to Planet Hollywood, which was so much better than I remember from the 1st time I went-food, atmosphere, memorabilia and coke floats were all absolutely brilliant! We then made our way to a brilliant night of comedy (3rd Sat in a row with one of these things!), which although had a slightly questionable audience in parts (one woman was just being downright rude!), had an awesome line-up.

Of course I had to make up my hours, so Sunday was just a blur of work (5 hours, bringing my total for the weekend to 8 hours) and yawning. Oh, and the reason I didn't write this on Monday? Well, I'll write about that on Sunday/Monday. All you need to know is that it was probably the best night out I've had ever!

Well, 'til next time!
