This week has been heaps of fun, no doubt about that! Aside from the maths re-take (whole class had to do it, not just me. Plus, made a perfect excuse to treat myself to some tickets!) and boring essays (standard A-level life), I have been busy this week having fun and being the teenager I want to be!
It is common knowledge among those that know me that I am a bit of a sucker for soppy films, and with my dad away, myself and my mum were busy watching Hugh Grant doing what Hugh Grant does best most nights until my dad returned (not that he doesn't enjoy a romcom-just we watched them all by his return). It's become a bit of a January tradition for me: stock up on romcoms (this month's total so far is 8 and I still have at least one more I want to buy), watch them all and then talk about them for the rest of the year until January comes around again and the whole process starts over. There is nothing better than sitting in front of the telly with a hot water bottle, a cup of tea and a girly film... or so I thought...
I had been looking forward to 10pm Thursday 23rd January for a long time (well, around two weeks) and, as it drew nearer, I knew I had to up my attention towards the three members of The Midnight Beast, ready just in case they should give any hints or information away about the second series of their musical comedy sitcom. Lucky I did so, or I would not be able to say (well, type) what I am about to.
Wednesday, 22nd January 2013. The time was 7:00pm. Apple Store, Regent Street. I had finished what had been a pretty normal day at college and was sat, excited, in a (very comfy, if I do say so myself) chair, waiting for a q and a session to being. Who was being q'd and providing the a's I hear you ask? None other than The Midnight Beast themselves!
I understand that they aren't exactly everyone's cup of tea (or coffee, if that's what floats your boat), but, to me, being able to say that I saw the very first live performance of 'The Main One', met two of them (Stefan and Dru, if you're interested!) and have my English Child Language Acquisition workbook signed by those two is a little bit of a big deal.
I hope that this upcoming week will live up to the high standards set by the last one. Even if it doesn't quite meet the mark, I guess I can always re-watch the first marvellous episode (I have seen it 2 1/2 times so far-I had work in the morning!). And, if I do, somehow, get sick of that one, there's only 5 days until episode 2!
That's it for this week, ta for reading!
