So it's pretty safe to say this week has been nothing short of manic. Last week of school before one week off, it was bound to be. However, I'm not just referring to the ever-growing mountain of work I have to do! Although Monday through to Wednesday were pretty dull, the rest of the week was absolutely brilliant.
Thursday evening doesn't really strike anyone as the perfect day for a theatre trip, but that is exactly what I got up to this week. Acting as a responsible adult, I acted as a helper on a scouts trip to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. If I'm honest, I'm a little surprised that they trusted me, a person who literally acts their shoe size 87% of the time. Anyway, the play was nothing short of awe-inspiring. So maybe the songs and script ext were not as good as other musicals I have seen, but it's based on something by ROALD DAHL and had a flying glass elevator. So yes, I REALLY enjoyed it! Plus, the children that were on the trip were not bad at all and we didn't lose any of them!
Friday was Valentines Day, and as a valentine-less girl, I made the decision to spend the evening with other valentine-less girls and eat pizza in a place where no one would dare take their valentine-Pizza Hut. 8 of us trekked to the restaurant and feasted on the £6 meal deal (we didn't have any dessert). If I'm honest, I really enjoyed the evening, and when I got home I managed to catch 'Bridget Jones' Diary'! So, in the end I had four valentines dates-Daniel Cleaver, Mark Darcy, Ben and Jerry. So, guess what... I WIN!
Saturday was work day, but luckily managed to find out that one of my very favourite comedians was over from America and catch him compering at Charing Cross in a lil pub on a side street. I'll be honest, I thought the place was cool until I noticed 'Splash!' on the TV, but oh well! Anyway, after he finished I told him about an essay I had written about whether British comedy can succeed in America, and guess what... not only has he followed me on twitter, he's READING MY ESSAY AND GIVING ME FEEDBACK!!! Bearing in mind my teacher dislikes my topic choice and the fact its not based on anything academic, this is seriously awesome. Finally, this stupid EPQ seems like it has a point!
Finally, is Sunday. Not one to rest, I went to the zoo! Believe it or not, thats not really anything special for me-I have an annual pass to the attractions that the company owns. Here is a picture of some penguins.
And here is a tiger. My friend, in response to this pic said 'LOOOL the tiger is like bitch please I'm fabulous', which I found quite funny.
So, that was my week. No more or less exciting than anyone else's, really! 'Til next week I guess!
